Master goldsmith William Wilson - or Bill, as he is affectionately known to friends, family and faithful clients - began his jewelry career in the 1960s.![]()
In 1969, Wilson became certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a gemologist and was hired by the reputed New York–based sightholder Baumgold Brothers, Inc.
One of the world's leading diamond concerns, the Baumgold Brothers was famed for setting the fancy champagne Transvaal Diamond (67.89ct) featured in the 1952 Tarzan film Savage Fury and was last famously worn by actress Michelle Pfeiffer.
It is within such a rich environment that the golf-and-vintage-Corvette enthusiast flourished. Bill gradually earned his stripes in the diamond and goldsmithing business, eventually amassing a huge wealth of experience in fancy-colored diamonds.
In the 1980s, Bill moved to Southwest Florida where he was thoroughly moved by the tranquil island lifestyle to finally open a business in his own name, William E Wilson Fine Jewelry Design.
Today, Bill channels the same energy and passion that led him on this path over 40 years ago into serving loyal clients with his highly covetable gold-and-diamond designs.
